BAC Water 10ml
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. The benzyl alcohol suppresses bacterial growth, so a reconstituted peptide solution can be drawn from repeatedly over an extended period. Supplied for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Sterile diluent with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, for reconstituting lyophilised peptides.

When to use it
Use it for most lyophilised peptides when a vial will be drawn from more than once. The preservative keeps the solution sterile through repeated punctures, typically for 28 days under refrigeration.
It is not suited to single-use preparations. Some peptides call for plain sterile water instead, so check the requirements of each compound.
